Before You Rage-Quit

Answers for anything on Orange GDPS that isn't working the way you expect.

Why was I brought to the banned page?
You may be banned, or your internet may be out. Review the reasons below before assuming it's one or the other — a lot of "bans" turn out to be a dead connection, and a lot of connection issues turn out to actually be a ban.
How do I check which one it actually is?
Try loading a level list or logging in from a different network — mobile data instead of Wi-Fi, or a friend's connection.
  • Fails everywhere, on every network → it's a ban.
  • Works fine elsewhere → it was your internet, not the server.
  • Other players are online right now and loading fine → also points to a ban, not an outage.

What actually gets an account banned?
Most bans come down to one of these:
  • Hacked stars, coins, or completions — including speedhacks, noclip, or auto-hitbox tools
  • Uploading stolen or reuploaded levels without credit
  • Abusive, harassing, or hateful messages in chat or comments
  • Alt accounts made to get around an existing ban
  • Spamming uploads, comments, or friend requests
  • Exploiting bugs instead of reporting them

How long does a ban last?
It depends on what triggered it. Minor first offenses are usually temporary and lift on their own. Hacking, stolen levels, or repeat offenses after a warning are treated as permanent unless an appeal changes that. Staff reviews the account history before deciding, so identical-looking cases can get different outcomes.
I didn't do anything — why am I banned?
Bans sometimes key off IP or device rather than just the account, which occasionally catches someone who shares a network or device with a banned player. If that's you, don't create a new account to get around it — appeal instead. Working around a ban is its own bannable offense and makes an appeal much harder to grant.
My friend and I got banned at the same time — why?
Same household Wi-Fi, same school network, or the same public IP can flag multiple accounts together if one of them tripped a rule. It's not always a coincidence, but it's also not always deliberate — explain the situation in your appeal and staff will look at each account separately.
Can I appeal?
Yes. Send one appeal, be specific and honest about what happened, and wait for a reply before following up — spamming the appeal channel doesn't speed things up.

Staff aren't responding to my appeal — what now?
Appeals get reviewed in order, so give it a few days before checking back. If it's been longer than that, a single polite follow-up in the Discord's support channel is fine — just don't open a second appeal for the same ban.
How do I reach staff directly?
Join the Discord and post in the support channel — that's the fastest way to get a real answer.
